Alright, while marathons in the Lake Tahoe area generally have to be ran during the summer – that doesn’t mean you can’t still dream about winter. And by winter we mean snow. And by snow we mean… new snow flicks!
Ya heard right. The first ski/snowboard video premiere is here! September 25 in the MontBleu Theater features “Droppin'” a flick by First Tracks Productions that is guaranteed to get you caffeinated for the winter. Sponsored by Sierra-at-Tahoe and local shops, “Droppin'” will be free to everybody! With doors opening at 7:30pm and NO cover charge or ticket fee… you can’t miss it!
Showing at the MontBleu Theater September 26, Lake Tahoe will get a chance to see The 34th Annual San Francisco Stand-Up Comedy Competition. The competition features Bay Area comedians of all styles, and with so many different styles of performers, the night is sure to be fresh and fun. Tickets are $30 with a Facility Fee for Reserved seating.
This coming week is also the time for SeptOberFest – a charity event put on by the Kiwanis Club of the Sierras. MontBleu will be hosting it September 25th, with proceeds going to benefit at risk and underprivileged children. Tickets are $38 advance, $45 at the door. There isn’t a word to describe the career Merle Haggard has had, or his affect on country, blues, folk and country-rock music. They just don’t make them like Merle. And how could they? He’s one of a kind. Which is what makes his September 26 performance at Harrah’s South Shore Room that much more special. If you ever wanted to really see a music legend – this is your chance. Ticket information is available here.
Vex and Opal will be continuing to provide South Shore with the highest quality nightclub entertainment and fun this weekend. Vex will open its doors Friday and Saturday night for Lake Tahoe’ premiere dance club experience while Opal will be hoppin’ as always.
