South Lake Tahoe Upcoming Events for 9/2 to 9/8, 2009

South Lake Tahoe has a full menu of great things to check out this week. Entertainment is abound throughout the week as we celebrate the coming of fall. Here are the upcoming South Lake Tahoe events for the next week:

Chickenfoot, America’s favorite new super group featuring the talents of Sammy Hagar, Joe Satriani, Michael Anthony and Chad Smith will be making their appearance at Harveys Outdoor Ampitheatre this Saturday, September 5th. Smith, the drummer in his full time band the Red Hot Chili Peppers, took some time out of his busy Chickenfoot touring schedule to chat with You can read up on the interview here.

Mickey Avalon will make his triumphant return to the shores of South Lake Tahoe this Sunday, September 6th at Bar 24/Bill’s Casino. Often described as “rap’s biggest rock star” Avalon’s lyrical scriptures, unique delivery, and flowing 70s style hair and appearance make him a show that cannot be missed. The event is a Bonifide Late Nite Production put on by Late Nite Billy in cooperation with Bar 24. The show starts at 9p.m., and will keep you posted on any changes in scheduling.

Whiskey Dick’s Saloon has a packed schedule for this weekend! Come out and enjoy some great South Lake Tahoe nightlife with live musical performances on September 4th, 5th and 6th. Friday night features The Shames, BeerCan and

Anti-Panti while Saturday is taken over by Fingers of Passion, Teraton, and the incomparable Arizona group The Warsaw Poland Brothers. Sunday night rocks hard with Arsonists Get All The Girls, 12 Gauge Face Lift and Idekay.

The Beacon Bar & Grill out at Camp Richardson has a packed schedule the next week as well, with Jesse Kalin and The Cool Black Kettle playing Wednesday, September 2nd and Sunday, September 6th.

Trey Stone and his band will be playing Thursday September 3rd and Saturday September 5th at the Beacon as well.

Friday night at the Beacon will proudly host Deep Fryed Mojo, a great house band that you simply can’t miss – September 4th.

Fresh Ketch will have live entertainment Sunday, September 6th as musical guest Bentwood will be kicking out the grooves throughout the evening.

The Valhalla Music and Arts Festival out at the historic Valhalla Estate features an outstanding performance of “The Rabbit Hole” for guests and audiences of all walks. Performances are Thursday, Friday and Saturday September 3-5th starting at 7:30 pm each evening.

Friday and Saturday at Cabo Wabo in Harveys you can check out Mad Karma, a righteous group that knows how to get a party started. Based out of the East Bay Area, these guys will get you rockin’ out in no time!

If you’re looking for something a little different, check out Big Bad Wolf playing at Lakeside Inn this Saturday, Sept. 5th.
