Maybe it was the dim lighting, or the quaintness of a French country-inspired interior, or quite possibly it was the down-to-earth attitudes of the bartender and general manager – whether it was one of these perceptions or the whole package, Bistro Danielle’s ambiance left me at ease. We all know that some bars and clubs can be over stimulating. Thankfully, Bistro Danielle does not fall into this stressful category. One might say Bistro Danielle is an introvert’s paradise! This spot also happens to be a wine connoisseur’s mecca. General manager, Sal Carbone, comments that 95% of the wines at Bistro Danielle cannot be found in grocery stores. Some notable varietals pulled from the grape’s ideal growing regions are a Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, a Carneros Chardonnay, and a Pinot Noir from Oregon’s Willamette Valley. What’s more, Bistro Danielle is loyal to local Mount Tallac Brewing Company, currently featuring their Summer Blonde and Amber Ale as the only beers on tap. While newly-renovated Bistro Danielle may be only three seasons old, it competes with its South Shore elders by offering darts, three flat screen TVs for viewing Monday Night Football at a spacious granite countertop bar, and a humble, yet upscale American bistro menu with nothing over $20, save the slow-roasted brazed short ribs.

I had the pleasure of dining at Bistro Danielle last summer with my family. The staff was very friendly, the food was great and the atmosphere was very cozy. Being a vegetarian, I was able to select from several menu options. Additionally, there was a menu and coloring available for my 7 year old. I will definitely be back 🙂

We recently had a most delicious meal with you. My husband especially enjoyed the blue cheese risotto, and upon asking if you shared recipes you said I could pull it up on your website. However, I am unable to do this. Could you please advise how I could obtain this recipe? Thanks – Joan Goehl
