The Open Mic at Mo’s Place in South Shore is put together by Joshua Morse, a local musician and all around go-getter who has one simple goal in mind – he wants to see what South Lake Tahoe’s got when it comes to music, poetry, theater and any kind of performing.

“Well it’s simple: I have all this equipment, and I’d love to see what South Lake Tahoe has to offer,” Morse says. “The music scene up here is fairly weak, but that’s why this open mic is here, for people to come out and give it their best, and do whatever they want to do.”

Whether you’d like to sing a few covers, put on a comedy act, or simply hang out and enjoy the performances, Mo’s Place is the ideal spot for you to do all of it.

The Open Mic at Mo’s Place is held every Monday night from 9pm until close, and the styles of music are as varied as your iPod shuffle. Anything and everything goes at Mo’s, a sports bar adjascent to the Motel 8 off of South Lake Tahoe Boulevard.
